Melted Brie Brioche Waffle Bites
MELTED BRIE BRIOCHE WAFFLES WITH APRICOT PRESERVES, PECANS AND POMEGRANATE DRIZZLE
There’s something about warm melted cheese with sweets that is so good to me. Maybe because I’m obsessed with the perfect sweet and savory combos. This recipe is so easy and half of it is practically done for you.
You can absolutely make your own brioche or any sweet bread for this. However, I saw these St. Pierre individually wrapped and bagged brioche belgian waffles at Heinen’s, and HAD to pair it with melted brie.
And that’s not all. I also mixed in a few dollops of apricot preserves, pecans and some of that pomegranate drizzle from my last post for goat cheesecake blondies.
MELTED BRIE BRIOCHE WAFFLES RECIPE
Ingredients
4-6 slices of brioche, toasted and warmed
1 wheel of brie
apricot preserves
1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
optional - pomegranate drizzle from goat cheesecake blondie recipe
Instructions
Heat oven to 360°F. Bake brie wheel sans the paper wrapping for 7 minutes.
With the last 3 minutes, warm the brioche, or toast separate before and warm the last 2 minutes with the cheese baking in the oven.
Remove cheese and brioche from oven.
Cut open brie in quarters so the cheese oozes out.
Layer on the brie first, then apricot preserves, pecans and lastly, the drizzle if desired.
