Welcome to my food blog.
I’m a Cajun cook in Cleveland, Ohio documenting my recipes, tips and food photography.
So where do we start? Just so there is a transparency, I do all of my creative writing for my Instagram posts. I have been asked by Brands to write social posts in congruence with the food. My writing is humor based, but not exclusively.
If we were to work together, it would be established from the beginning what is expected of me, and what I require from you. If that involves writing. I’m here for you.
When it comes to styling, I have a large variety of props, backgrounds and utensils. Styling isn’t hindered by just props, there’s always the ingredients on their own to let the food shine.
There are four main types of shots that are standards in my wheel house. Overhead, 45 degree angle, intense zoom and straight on. Judging by my Instagram feed, you will find I’m a fan of the zooms.
Making food look and taste great is what I do. It’s my thing. I got you.
A lot of what I create when it comes to food, is infused with my Cajun heritage. I love to create authentic dishes from my home state of Louisiana, and when it’s not a classic gumbo, or crawfish etouffeé - I still use ingredients that give a nod to my roots. I create mostly savory dishes, but do love to bake as well.
When working with brands, I do offer recipe creation, among other things when deciding on what’s right for our developing relationship. Much of what I create is based off my knowledge of Cajun & Creole flavors, but that is not entirely what I do. I do love many, many flavors and ingredients from around the world and often experiment.
I’ve worked with spice, herbs, grains, sprinkles and other food based companies to incorporate their ingredients for social media posts, as well as entire recipes with instructions, and multi-photo packages surrounding specific recipes.
Feel free to send me an email requesting rates and packages for any future projects.
