PUERTO RICAN COQUITO

Prep Time: 5 min. | Cook Time: 0 min.

Growing up, I was never a fan of eggnog. But now, as an adult, it’s growing on me. I’ve always liked it in baking recipes, just not really as a drink.

But then I found out about coquito. It’s traditionally a Puerto Rican eggnog style drink. Mixed with some booze and other festive spices, it’s truly a treat!

With a slight tweak to a traditional recipe, I added in some Smith’s EggNog. A local brand.

PUERTO RICAN COQUITO RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 12 oz evaporated milk

  • 12 oz eggnog

  • 14 oz coconut cream

  • 8 oz gold rum

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground clove

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

Add all above ingredients into a blender, and serve! It’s that simple. Sprinkle with cinnamon on top or serve with a cinnamon stick for display.
