Tart Cherry Ice Cream With Dark Chocolate
TART PIE CHERRY ICE CREAM WITH DARK CHOCOLATE CHIPS
This is a guilt-free version of ice cream, or nice cream if you will. There’s no dairy here. Sometimes I just want a lighter dessert and this was the ticket as we roll into February.
I’m not a fan of sweet cherries, but I do love tart cherries. I was able to find frozen bagged tart pie cherries at the store, and I was thrilled. This dessert treat takes minimal ingredients and a food processor!
TART PIE CHERRY ICE CREAM WITH DARK CHOCOLATE CHIPS
Ingredients
2 large bananas
12 oz frozen tart pie cherries (freezer bag)
2 heaping tablespoons almond butter
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
In a food processor, combine the bananas, cherries, honey and almond butter.
Puree until smooth and creamy.
Fold in the chocolate, chopped or whole chips.
If you like a softer ice cream, serve right away. If you like it more frozen, freeze for an hour.
