Corn Flaked Vanilla Ice Cream Balls
CORN FLAKED VANILLA ICE CREAM BALLS WITH DARK CHOCOLATE SYRUP
This recipe is extremely easy, and satisfying. I couldn’t even imagine trying to really fry ice cream, nor do I want to do it. The easier way around it, is to cook up some corn flakes with cinnamon and a little butter, then roll the ice cream in it!
CORN FLAKED VANILLA ICE CREAM BALLS WITH DARK CHOCOLATE SYRUP RECIPE
Ingredients
corn flake cereal
vanilla bean ice cream
dark chocolate syrup
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter (to be melted)
cherries to top
Instructions
This Is an extremely easy recipe. Take about half of a box of corn flake cereal and sauté in melted butter and cinnamon until golden brown. Probably only about 5 minutes. Set aside on a paper towel lined plate to absorb extra butter dripping.
Let cool for about 30 minutes in the fridge so that it won’t melt the ice cream faster.
With clean hands, take a couple ice cream scoop fulls of the vanilla bean ice cream, and mold into a big ball. Roll the ball quickly into the plate of corn flakes. There will be a lot of empty spots. Take handfuls of the flakes and crumble in your hand and then push lightly onto the ice cream ball to fill gaps. You can crush the flakes beforehand when you’re sautéing them, but they might get too soggy.
Drizzle with chocolate syrup over each ball made, and top with a cherry!
