Hi.

Welcome to my food blog.

I’m a Cajun cook in Cleveland, Ohio documenting my recipes, tips and food photography.

GRILLED PEANUT BUTTER AND STRAWBERRY JELLY EVERYTHING BAGELS

We’re always down for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I’m more of a peanut butter and honey gal, but when I do use jelly, I always go for strawberry.

My mom used to make us PBJ sandwiches for school lunches nearly every day, and I still never got tired of them. She knew I wasn’t a big fan of a thick layer of jelly, so she always thinly applied.

Heinens has a great, affordable peanut butter that lays on extra smooth and creamy. They also have organic ground peanut butter and crunchy!

Now, these days we’re bagel fiends, and we’re always reaching for everything bagels. I’m forever a sweet and savory girl, so that’s my jam, or should I say jelly.

There’s not much to this recipe y’all. I just grilled the bagels in butter in a cast iron and used a spatula to press it down on both sides and then cut them in half so that it’s easier to eat after you spread the layers of peanut butter and jelly. You can use whatever jelly or marmalade you want.

I also went extra with these, and sautéed a cup of chopped strawberries in 1/4 cup brown sugar, a tablespoon of lemon juice and a teaspoon of corn starch to thicken it up.

I’m imagining a rye or pumpernickel bagel would be amazing too!

Heinens also has bagels! Obviously we got the everything seasoning bagels!
