Green Gin And Tonic
GREEN GIN AND TONIC
Gin and tonic is a classic drink. It was my drink of choice in college, and I’m sure a lot peoples choice.
Since we’re still in the beginning of the new year, we’re looking for healthier options. This drink incorporates quite few green produce items, and you know I got them at Heinen’s.
This drink is basic, and sometimes that’s just what you need! But in this drink I use green apple and grapes, limes, mint and cucumber. This will definitely need to be chopped up in a food processor until it’s mostly juice or smooth, and then you sift out and press the juices to add as a 3oz pour into each drink.
For the rim as a little kicker, I like to use lime juice and add in a few dashes (5-6) of green pepper Tabasco sauce to mix. Then I line the rim of the glass with the juice mixture, and rim that with Taijin seasoning.
