Apple Cider Aperol Spritz
APPLE CIDER APEROL SPRITZ
It seems to be the year of the spritz, this 2023, and since Heinen’s has all the ingredients at their locations to make an Aperol Spritz, it’s definitely time to share a fun recipe with y’all that is super easy with a Fall twist.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe:
Towards the end of summer, Heinen’s breaks out their apple cider selection in the produce section for a variety of fresh, local juices. Specifically in season now, is apple cider from Patterson’s Fruit farm.
These spritz’s are full of Harvest season scents and flavors, with fresh slices of Honeycrisp apples, sprigs of fresh sage, and a splash of apple cider to really enhance the cocktail.
Aperol Spritz can be a love or “not-so-loved” drink depending on your preferences, but this season with Heinen’s, the apple cider cuts away most of the bitterness, and I also use a citrus sparkling soda that brightens it up even more.
Honeycrisp apples in my humbled opinion, are the best to use with these spritzy cocktails. They also have the best mix of color, and can be rather large. I slice them extra thin and put a few in each drink to give it a fancier feel to your hands.
You can also garnish these drinks with cinnamon sticks. I prefer to use them closer to Christmas, because spritzes can be drank year round in our household!
