DRAGON FRUIT SMOOTHIES WITH HEMP SEEDS

It’s a new year, and with that comes healthier eats and drinks. Smoothies are big in our house, mainly because I have digestion issues and have a more strict diet these last few years.

With sensitive stomachs after the rich food of the holidays, dragon fruit is actually one of the fruits to sooth the stomach.

One dragon fruit is generally all you need for a couple 8 oz smoothies.

You will need some bananas. Four of them in fact. If you don’t have them frozen, just add a cup of ice.

DRAGON FRUIT SMOOTHIES RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 4 frozen bananas, quartered for food processor

  • 1 dragon fruit, peeled and chopped large for food processor

  • 2 tablespoons almond butter

  • 1/3 cup oat milk

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 2 tablespoons hemp heart seeds to top smoothies

Instructions

If your bananas aren’t frozen, add a cup of ice to the food processor.

Add in all ingredients, and blend on smoothie mode, or until smooth.

Top each smoothie with the hemp heart seeds for added protein.
